Articulate 360 Teams: 360 Admins Must Have a Creator License to Use Articulate 360 Apps
Article Last Updated Feb 9, 2026
This article applies to:
Articulate 360 Teams admins don't have creator licenses by default, meaning they can be 360 admins without using a license. To use the Articulate 360 apps, such as Storyline 360 and Rise 360, 360 admins must be assigned a creator license.
If you're a 360 admin for your team without a license, here's what you'll notice:
- Web apps, such as Rise 360 and Review 360, won't work.
- You won't have a download button for the desktop-authoring apps, such as Storyline 360.
- If you previously installed the Articulate 360 desktop app, a "trial expired" message will display in the app.
To gain access to the Articulate 360 apps, assign yourself a creator license.
If your team doesn't have any available licenses, you can either remove a user and take their license or purchase additional licenses for your team.
