Frontline: Bulk-Updating Content
Article Last Updated Sep 10, 2026
Edit wording, tone, audience, and more across your entire kit with a single request, instead of editing each artifact manually. Chat with AI to describe the change you want, then let it search your kit’s artifacts and draft the edits. Of course, you get to confirm or reject any changes before they’re applied. Read on to learn how to get started.
Start a Content Update
Go to your kit’s overview page, then click Update content with AI (sparkle icon) in the top-right corner. When the chat panel opens, do one of the following:
- Select one of the prebuilt prompts.
- Find and replace terms
- Change the tone
- Simplify writing
- Remove jargon
- Type your message in the prompt box at the bottom.
If you want to start over, click Clear chat (eraser icon) in the top-right corner. This clears your chat window and returns you to the chat’s welcome screen.
Tip: The more specific your request, the less back-and-forth you’ll need. For example, “Replace the word ‘elevator’ with ‘lift’ everywhere” is more effective than “update my wording.”
Confirm the Scope
AI will ask clarifying questions, such as which terms to swap or which artifacts to include, before drafting any changes.
Once the scope of your request is clear, you’ll be prompted to confirm. If you agree, reply to confirm, and AI will begin drafting the changes to your kit.
Review Suggested Changes
While AI drafts your changes, you'll see a status message showing how many changes it's preparing across your kit.
Once the changes are ready, AI will provide a quick summary of which artifacts the updates affect. Then, you have three options:
- Click Confirm all to apply every suggested change at once.
- Click Review changes to open the full review panel and go through them individually.
- Click Reject all (circular arrow icon) to reject all changes.
Within the review panel, changes are grouped by artifact, and a counter at the top tracks your progress. Use the dropdown to filter the list to a single artifact if you'd prefer to focus on one at a time.
Each change shows which block it affects (a paragraph, a heading, a knowledge check, a flashcard, and so on) and a brief description of the edit, along with Confirm, Review, and Reject buttons for that instance.
Review a Change in Context
Click Review on any change to jump straight to that artifact, scrolled to the exact line affected. You’ll see the proposed change inline—the original wording struck through and the new wording highlighted next to it.
Confirm or reject the change, then move to the next item in the review panel. Your progress carries over as you switch between artifacts, so you can review all changes in your kit without losing your place.
Once you've resolved all changes, AI summarizes what was updated and where, and includes a note if it couldn't complete any changes.
FAQs
Can I update just one artifact instead of my whole kit?
Yes. Start the update from your kit's overview page to apply changes across multiple artifacts at once, or open a specific artifact first to scope the update to that artifact alone.
What happens if I reject a change?
Rejected changes aren't applied. Your content stays exactly as it was.
Can I still manually edit a block while a change is pending review?
A block with a pending AI change is locked until you confirm or reject the change. Once the change is resolved, you can edit the block manually like any other block.
Can bulk update content with AI create, move, or delete content?
No. AI only makes text-based changes to existing content. It can't create, move, or delete artifacts or blocks, or modify block settings.
Can I undo a change after I've confirmed it?
Once you accept or confirm a change, it’s applied immediately. There’s no undo button to revert a confirmed change. Before confirming, review each change, especially for bulk edits across multiple artifacts.
