Storyline 360: Managing Scenes and Slides with AI

Article Last Updated Aug 18, 2026

This article applies to:

Manually managing scenes and slides in your Storyline 360 project can slow down course authoring. Navigate and organize your project faster by using AI to make changes with simple chat requests. Follow these steps to get started.

Step 1: Open AI Chat

From Story or Slide View, click the AI Assistant tab on the right, then use the chat box at the bottom to enter your prompts.

Step 2: Manage Your Project

Chat with AI to navigate and organize your project. You can jump to scenes and slides, add, rename, reorder, and delete them, edit slide properties, open slides in new tabs, and combine multiple actions into a single prompt.

Try prompts like these to navigate your project:

  • “Go to the introduction scene.”
  • “Open slide 12 in the current scene.”
  • “Jump to scene 5.”
  • “Open Slide Master View.”
  • “Open slides 1.2 and 1.3 in new tabs.”

Try prompts like these to organize your project:

  • “Duplicate scene 1.”
  • “Move the quiz scene to the end of the project.”
  • “Move slide 1.2 to scene 3.”
  • “Copy slide 1.2 into scene 4.”
  • “Apply the title-only layout to the first slide in scene 4.”
  • “Rename all scenes to match their first slide title.”
  • “Set scene 5 as the starting scene.”
  • “Delete all slides after slide 15 in the current scene.”
  • “Rename scene 2 to Product Overview, move it before the quiz scene, and create a new Resources scene.”

Tip: If your project contains multiple scenes, specify the scene when referring to a slide. For example, use “Slide 12 in scene 2” or “Slide 12 in the current scene.”

Note: When you ask AI to create slides, it generates standard blank slides. It doesn’t currently generate built-in quiz or results slides.
