Understand Magic Lesson Import
Magic Lesson Import converts a storyboard file or structured lesson document (such as a PDF, Word file, or PowerPoint presentation) into a fully organized Rise 360 lesson. Instead of manually copying and pasting content, AI Assistant analyzes your uploaded file and generates a sequence of blocks based on its structure. Your text is preserved as written, and images are extracted, inserted into the content where possible, and added to your source content library for easy reuse.
If you work with storyboard files, AI Assistant can easily map your content to lesson blocks. If not, a well-structured document with clear labels and consistent headings helps ensure AI Assistant knows which lesson blocks fit your content. Use simple, recognizable terms and patterns to mark headings, sections, and content types.
The table below lists the supported block types.
|
Text and basic content |
Paragraph, Heading, Paragraph with heading, List, Quote, Note, Statement |
|
Media and visual content |
Image centered, Image full width, Image & text, Text on image, Banner, Carousel, Two column grid, Three column grid, Four column grid, Continue |
|
Interactive blocks |
Accordion, Tabs, Flashcard, Timeline, Process, Scenario, Sorting activity |
|
Knowledge Checks |
Multiple Choice, Multiple Response, Fill in the blank, Matching |
Unsupported or unrecognized content formats are converted to paragraph blocks. If an image is missing or can’t be extracted, a placeholder image is used.
When importing a scenario block, AI Assistant maps all content to the appropriate scenes and sections to the best of its ability, but uses the default character and background image.
Achieve Better Results With These Tips
To get the most accurate lesson structure, prepare your storyboard with clear, consistent formatting. Use the tips below to help you get the best results.
Use Clear Structure
AI Assistant does its best to be flexible and interpret the desired structure based on the document, but the clearer and more descriptive the storyboard is, the better it will perform. Indicate which supported block type the content should be placed in so AI Assistant can accurately map your content to the right lesson blocks.
Download these sample files to see what a well-structured document looks like and use them as a reference when creating your own content.
Keep Formatting Consistent
Apply consistent formatting throughout your storyboard document. Use built-in list tools rather than manual symbols, and avoid complex layouts that may not translate well.
Label Media and Interactions Clearly
Label questions, activities, and other interactive elements with clear, recognizable terms. Place images near the relevant text and keep layouts simple so AI Assistant can correctly associate visuals with your content.
Review After Import
After importing, review your lesson to ensure that blocks, formatting, and media placement match your intent. If there’s a block you’d like to see in another variant, such as a bulleted list converted to a checkbox, easily swap them by hovering over the block, then clicking the dropdown on the left.
Import Your Existing Document
