Turning pre-approved questions into a Rise 360 quiz doesn’t have to be done manually. Streamline the process by importing your existing questions into AI Assistant. It quickly arranges them into a quiz lesson while preserving your original wording. Read on to see how it works and follow the steps to get started.

Understand Magic Quiz Import

When you upload your existing questions from documents or copy and paste from sources outside Rise 360, AI Assistant automatically detects the quiestion type, question content, answer choices, and feedback—then organizes everything into a ready-to-use quiz lesson.

Supported question types include multiple choice, multiple response, fill-in-the-blank, and matching. AI Assistant supports most documentation formats.

AI Assistant can also identify clearly-defined correct answers, regardless of how they appear in the source document: bolded, underlined, highlighted, or color-coded.

Upload Existing Files With Questions

Import your questions by following these steps.

1. On the course overview page, click the AI Assistant menu in the upper right. Then, select Magic Quiz Import.
2. When the Magic Quiz Import window appears, drag and drop your file into the gray box or click the choose file link.
3. Once the upload completes, click the Import Quiz button. 

Pro Tip: For the best results, ensure your questions are formatted with the answers clearly marked. You can also include a separate answer key. 

Copy and Paste Questions From Sources

If your questions come from online sources or are part of a larger document, you can copy and paste the text directly into the Magic Quiz Import modal. Here’s how:

1. Open your source document and copy your questions.
2. In your Rise 360 course overview page, click the AI Assistant menu in the upper right, then select Magic Quiz Import.
3. Paste your text in the box provided within the Magic Quiz Import modal.
4. Once ready, click the Import Quiz button.

Once finished, AI Assistant takes you to the generated quiz lesson so you can make further adjustments as needed.

We’re excited about the time Magic Quiz Import can save you and the workflows it can support, but it's still evolving! While this feature is in beta, your feedback will help improve it. 

After AI Assistant creates your quiz, a message will appear in the lower-right corner. Click the thumbs-up icon in that notification if the output works well for you. If it didn't or you have additional feedback, click the thumbs-down icon to let us know what didn't work or how we could improve the experience.
