Rise 360: How to Use Divider Blocks

Article Last Updated Mar 12, 2026

This article applies to:

The seemingly simple divider block is an indispensable part of your Rise 360 training. Not only does it aid learner comprehension by providing a visual separation of concepts, it gives your content room to breathe, and can even help you control how learners navigate your training.

Here’s how to use this unsung block hero.

  1. Insert a Divider Block
  2. Modify the Divider Block
  3. Accessibility

Step 1: Insert a Divider Block

  1. Open a Rise 360 course, then edit an existing lesson or create a new one.
  2. Select All Blocks from the blocks shortcut bar. Or, click the insert block icon (+) that appears when you mouse over a boundary between blocks. Continue blocks can also be added from the blocks shortcut bar.
  3. When the sidebar appears, choose the Divider category in the block library, then select the block you want.

Step 2: Modify the Divider Block

Use the format menu to adjust block padding. For numbered divider blocks, you can also reset numbering.

Additionally, continue blocks can be used to control navigation by selecting if the button is always available or dependent on the previous blocks.

Accessibility

Divider blocks are accessible. Conduct testing with keyboard navigation and screen readers to ensure accessibility. For further guidance on creating accessible content, refer to our accessibility design tips below:
