Attachments and links still function as expected when previewing the course, viewing the course in Review 360, and exporting to PDF, the web, or LMS. Attachments and links will work as expected for preview-link shares once your trial becomes a subscription.

Can I turn off AI Assistant?

Yes, you have the option to turn off AI Assistant during your free trial. When disabled, AI Assistant will remain visible within Rise 360 and Storyline 360 throughout your subscription, but you won’t be able to use it. For additional questions about disabling AI Assistant, contact our Sales team at sales@articulate.com.

How many creators can I add to my team during the trial period?

You can add up to 10 additional creators to your team, for a total of 11 licenses. Creators build e-learning courses and collaborate with one another.

You can also add as many admins as you’d like. Admins can add and remove team members but can’t use the Articulate 360 apps.

Any creator or admin on the team can convert your free trial to a paid subscription.

You can distribute training to up to 300 active learners during your trial using Reach 360. Admins and team members count as active learners when they take training. Learn more about active learners in Reach 360.

How do I add creators to my team?

When you sign up for a free trial and validate your account, the first thing you’ll see is a screen where you can add up to 10 additional creators to your team. Just enter their email addresses and click Send Invite.

If you’d prefer to add creators later, you can go to your account management console and click Manage Team on the left side of the screen to add creators and admins.

Tip: The team management console also lets you manage invites.

What are the different permissions for team members?

There are four permissions for team members. Here's a table that outlines the capabilities of each permission during the free trial.

In Reach 360, you can assign three permissions from the account management console: Reach 360 admin, manager, and reporter. Anyone who takes training is considered a learner. See this article for more details about these roles.

Can I remove creators from my team?

Yes. Go to your account management console and click Manage Team on the left side of the screen. Click the creator you want to remove, click the Remove from 360 link at the bottom of the sidebar, and choose what happens to their content.

After removing creators from your team, you can invite others to take their places.

Note: You can’t remove a creator from the team and then add the same creator again during the free trial. However, you can add the same creator to the team after converting your free trial to a paid subscription.

Can the primary admin be removed from the team?

No. The person who created the trial is the account owner/primary admin and can’t be removed from the team. However, you can disable their create permissions to assign the license to someone else. (Additional admins and creators can be removed.)

What happens to users’ content when they’re removed from the team?

When you remove a user from your team, their Articulate 360 apps stop working. You must transfer their shared content to another creator. Then decide whether to include their personal online content in the transfer or keep them with the user's Articulate ID. Content includes Rise 360 content, block templates, question banks, Review 360 items, and Storyline 360 team slides. See this article for details.

Note: You can’t remove users from the team and then add the same users again during the free trial. However, you can add them back to the team after converting your free trial to a paid subscription. If you chose not to include personal content when you removed them from your team, they’ll have access to all their Rise 360 content, question banks, block templates, and Review 360 items in private folders.

Can I try Articulate 360 by myself, or do I need a team?

You’ll have access to all the same features whether you try Articulate 360 on your own or invite others to join your team.

To get the most out of your free trial, we recommend inviting others to join your team, so you can take advantage of collaborative features, including shared team slides in Storyline 360, shared block templates in Rise 360, and collaborative authoring in Rise 360.

Can my team members start their own free trials later?

No. Each person gets one free trial of Articulate 360, whether they're the account owner/primary admin, a 360 admin, or a creator.

Can a user be a member of more than one team at the same time?

With the addition of our EU data center, a single Articulate 360 user can have a license on two teams if one team is in the U.S. data center and the other is in the EU data center. However, each user can be a member of only one team in a particular data center, whether as a free trial or a paid subscription.

How do I buy a subscription?

It’s easy! Go to our pricing page, click Buy Now, and enter the email address and password you used to sign up for the free trial. Follow the prompts to convert your free trial to a paid subscription.

If you don’t have an account or didn’t start a trial, you’ll be prompted to create a password, enter your information (name, country, etc.), and choose a data center region to complete your purchase.

If you have questions, let us know. We’re here to help!

Who is allowed to buy a subscription for my trial team?

Any member of your team can buy a subscription.

If you need someone else to buy a subscription on behalf of your team, add that person to your trial team as a 360 admin or creator. Then they can convert the trial team to a paid subscription.

Here’s what happens to your team, depending on which subscription is purchased.

Articulate 360 Teams

When a member of your team buys an Articulate 360 Teams subscription, the team transitions seamlessly from a free trial to a paid subscription. Everyone remains on the team, and all content created by the team stays intact. (If you buy fewer licenses than the number of creators in your trial, the creators who were most recently added to the trial get removed from the team.)

The person who buys the subscription becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. (If another admin or creator buys a subscription for the team, then the trial owner becomes a 360 admin and creator.) All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

Tip: If a member of your trial team wants to buy a separate Articulate 360 Teams subscription, you’ll need to remove that person from your team so they can purchase a new subscription.

Articulate 360 Personal

When an admin or creator buys a personal Articulate 360 subscription, they’re removed from the team, and their content moves to the new subscription. An admin can invite another creator to take their place on the team.

If the trial owner/primary admin buys a personal subscription, the team trial immediately ends, and their content moves to the new subscription. All 360 admins and creators are removed from the team, but their content stays intact in case they choose to buy subscriptions of their own.

When I buy a subscription, will my team have access to the content we created during the trial?

Yes. As long as a member of your team purchases the subscription, the transition from a free trial to a paid subscription is seamless. Creators who have licenses on the paid team can continue working with the same content they created during the trial period, including Reach 360 training and reports.

Can someone who’s not on the trial team convert the team to a paid subscription?

No. The purchaser needs to be a member of the team. An admin for the team can invite the purchaser to the team as an admin or creator. Then the purchaser can convert the trial team to a paid subscription.

In this scenario, the purchaser becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. The trial owner becomes a 360 admin and creator. All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

The team transitions seamlessly from a free trial to a paid subscription. Everyone remains on the team, and all content created by the team stays intact. Read this section if you’re buying fewer licenses than the number of creators in your trial.

Can a member of the trial team buy a subscription for a different team?

Yes. An admin for the trial team just needs to remove the member from the team so they can buy a separate Articulate 360 Teams subscription.

If your trial has expired and you can no longer remove the member from your team, let us know and we’ll take care of it right away.

Can a member of the trial team buy a personal subscription instead?

Yes. When a 360 admin or creator buys a personal Articulate 360 subscription, they get removed from the team, and their content moves to the new subscription.

If the trial owner/primary admin buys a personal subscription, the team trial immediately ends, and their content moves to the new subscription. All 360 admins and creators get removed from the team, but their content stays intact in case they choose to buy subscriptions of their own.

Do I have to buy a subscription during the trial period, or can I purchase after the trial ends?

You can buy a subscription at any time, either during the trial period or after it expires.

How much does an Articulate 360 subscription cost?

The annual rate for the Articulate 360 AI package is $1749/user for a Teams plan and $1449 for a Personal plan. The annual rate for the Articulate 360 Standard package is $1499/user for a Teams plan and $1199 for a Personal plan.

Academic discounts are available for qualifying institutions. See this article for pricing details.

Can I buy more licenses than the number of creators on my trial team?

Absolutely. You can buy as many licenses as you want.

What happens if I buy fewer licenses than the number of creators on my trial team?

If you buy fewer licenses than the number of creators in your trial, the creators who were most recently added to the trial get removed from the team. The person who signed up for the trial has the first license.

Creators who are removed in this process may lose access to the content they created. We can help them regain access from the back end if needed, but removing creators before purchasing gives you more control over what happens to content and avoids disruption. We recommend following these steps:

  1. Before purchasing, answer these questions:
    1. Which creators do you want to remove from the team?
    2. Who will receive their shared content?
    3. Will you let removed creators keep their personal content?
  2. Review this user guide on managing content when creators leave your team.
  3. Remove the creators and transfer their content based on your answers in step #1.
  4. If the primary admin doesn’t need a creator license, disable their create permissions.
  5. Purchase the number of licenses needed.

Will everyone on my team have the same role after buying a subscription?

The person who buys the subscription becomes the account owner and primary admin for the team. (If a 360 admin or creator buys the subscription, then the trial owner becomes an admin and creator.) All other team members keep the same roles they had during the free trial.

Will you delete all my data if I decide not to buy a subscription?

We'll keep your online content on our servers up to six months after your free trial ends, including Reach 360 training and reports. Personal online content—including Rise 360 courses, content generated with AI Assistant, question banks, block templates, and Review 360 items in private folders—is tied to your Articulate ID. This means you'll regain access when you subscribe using the same account within six months. However, shared content stays with the expired trial or subscription. Shared content includes everything in the team directory—Rise 360 and Review 360 content and question banks—as well as Rise 360 shared block templates and Storyline 360 shared team slides. We can help you transfer that content if needed.

If you want us to delete all of your data immediately, let us know and we'll take care of it right away.
