Articulate 360 AI and Frontline: Using the Analytics Dashboard
Article Last Updated Oct 22, 2026
This article applies to:
Measure the impact of content you've created with the built-in Analytics dashboard. The dashboard gives you actionable data on how your audience consumes, understands, and interacts with your content, including insights from and analysis of AI Tutor interactions.
Note: You must have AI enabled for your account to see the Analytics dashboard.
Here's how it works.
- Access the Analytics Dashboard
- View Kit Analytics (Frontline only)
- View and Analyze Quiz Results
- Understand Guestbook Data and Permissions
- View and Download Artifact Analytics
- Analyze Audience Participation with AI Tutor Insight
- View Survey Results
Access the Analytics Dashboard
Click Analytics in the sidebar to see an overview of all artifacts you've shared. If you’re an Articulate 360 AI creator, you’ll also see artifacts that have been shared with you. The analytics dashboard only includes artifacts you've published via Quick Share.
The dashboard's top section displays aggregate metrics for all your artifacts. Here you can see total views, sessions, completions, and the average completion rate across all artifacts you've shared.
Below the aggregate metrics is a list of your artifacts and kits (if applicable), sorted by most recent updates. Kits are considered updated when any of the artifacts they contain receive updates.
Note: The analytics dashboard doesn’t display all the content across your subscription. The content you see on the analytics dashboard depends on the product you’re using, as described below.
- Articulate 360 AI: Analytics access follows Rise 360 sharing permissions, so anyone you've added to a shared team folder where an artifact is stored or invited as a collaborator on an artifact can view its analytics.
- Frontline: The analytics page only reflects the content deployed by the user accessing the dashboard.
View Kit Analytics (Frontline only)
Frontline users can drill down into specific kits to see at-a-glance performance metrics for all artifacts within them and dive deeper into individual artifact performance.
The top of the dashboard displays the name, total viewers, total sessions, and completion rate, as well as the average and total time spent on all artifacts. Below the performance section is a list of artifacts in the kit, sorted by total unique viewers.
Click Back to Analytics at the top to return to the main dashboard.
View and Download Artifact Analytics
Selecting an artifact (either from the main Analytics dashboard or from a kit's content list) takes you to the analytics page for that item. Here you can see at-a-glance performance metrics, individual completion statistics, and AI Tutor usage analysis (if applicable).
The top of the dashboard includes the artifact name, engagement rate percentage (see below), a total views chart, total viewer count, total time invested by all users, and the completion rate. If the artifact includes survey blocks, you can also see aggregated data from all responses, such as average viewer rating or top answers. When AI Tutor is enabled for the content, an AI Tutor Insights section is also available.
How Completion Reporting Works
Quick Share completion is recorded when a viewer completes the content. It then displays on the Analytics page along with their Guestbook details. However, completion isn't reported if the viewer:
- Closes the tab, switches apps, or locks their phone immediately after finishing
- Uses an ad blocker, privacy extension, or strict privacy settings to block tracking
- Declines tracking by rejecting the cookie consent prompt
When this happens, their status is displayed as In progress until the next time they finish the course.
Engagement Rate Metrics
When publishing an artifact to Quick Share, Frontline users can specify how many viewers they anticipate will engage with it. When this value is defined, the artifact's dashboard includes the percentage of actual engagement relative to the expected engagement value. The guestbook must also be active for this metric to be enabled.
View and Analyze Quiz Results
When your content contains at least one quiz, a Quizzes section is included under Viewer performance. This section provides per-quiz metrics on the completion rate, first-try passes, attempts to pass, and the retry pass rate. Once enough viewers have completed a quiz, AI insights are generated, offering analysis of the quiz's effectiveness and potential content improvements. If a quiz is deleted or hasn't yet been published, it isn't included in this section.
Note: If a user doesn't accept tracking, their quiz data isn't recorded and won't be included in this section.
Understand Guestbook Data and Permissions
The Guestbook section displays the list of individual viewers by name, sorted by recent engagement. This list is searchable and can be filtered by completion status. Each entry includes:
- The date they first engaged with the artifact
- Current completion status: In Progress or Complete (exact learner progress isn't reported)
- Current duration: their total active time spent on the artifact
- The date they completed the artifact
Click Back to Analytics at the top to return to the main dashboard or parent kit.
Tracking Return Viewer Activity
We don't match returning viewers to previous name or email entries. Instead, returning viewers are counted as one entry only if they return:
- In the same browser
- On the same device
- With tracking accepted
Otherwise, each visit creates a separate guestbook entry.
When viewers reject tracking cookies, their name still appears in the guestbook, but completion status and duration aren't included for their entry.
Note: If the guestbook isn't enabled, an anonymous viewer's return session activity may still be recorded if they opt into tracking cookies.
Guestbook Data Considerations and Privacy
When the optional Guestbook setting for a Quick Share link is enabled, viewers must provide a name and email before interacting with the artifact. This creates a guestbook entry, not an Articulate account. This information is used only to link the viewer's visits and engagement with the associated content. Since the information is self-reported, there's no way to verify its accuracy.
Guestbook data is associated only with the deployed content and is deleted when the related content is permanently deleted. Please refer to the DPA and Privacy Notice in our Trust Center for data retention terms and policies. If you have additional questions regarding the guestbook or viewer privacy, please reach out to our Support team, and we'll be happy to help you further.
Download Guestbook Data and Survey Block Results
For individual artifact entries, click the Export CSV button at the top of the Guestbook section to download a file that contains:
- Name
- Start Date
- Completion status
- Duration
- Survey block data (if available)
Frontline users: CSV exports aren't available for kits at this time.
Analyze Audience Participation with AI Tutor Insight
When AI Tutor is enabled for an artifact and the minimum number of engagements has occurred, the AI Tutor Insight section at the top of the dashboard populates with audience engagement analysis.
This section can surface frequently asked questions, provide audience engagement patterns, and even speculate on content effectiveness. This analysis changes daily based on actual audience engagement and looks back over the past 30 days of AI Tutor engagement data.
At the bottom of the dashboard, the AI Tutor drill-down section provides additional insights and further analysis, such as engagement patterns, content gaps, and top questions listed by frequency.
Determining Minimum Engagement
At least six distinct audience sessions that include AI Tutor engagement must have occurred for the analysis to populate on the artifact dashboard. Depending on the type of engagement, the six-session minimum may not provide sufficient data to generate a full analysis. Pattern analysis can take time to process and may not be reflected immediately in the current AI Tutor Insight.
View Survey Results
When the artifact includes survey blocks, results are collected at the bottom of its dashboard, along with an aggregated AI analysis of the results. Depending on how your survey block is structured, this section may include a user rating for your content or an examination of themes that surface in open-ended survey responses.
Metric responses are included at the top of the section, followed by open-ended responses. All open-ended survey responses are available to view in this section or can be exported as a CSV file.
