Make every credit count. Prioritize credit use, avoid unnecessary regeneration, and stretch the value of the credits you use with these tips.

Prioritize Where You Use Credits
Consider which projects will benefit most from credit-consuming features. Focus on training where these capabilities can save significant time, help you meet an important business need, or extend the reach of your content. For example, you might use credits for:
- Training that needs to be translated for multiple audiences
- Content that would benefit from an AI avatar presenter
- Training you need to deliver quickly
- Projects that would take significant time or effort to create manually
Use Relevant Source Material
Give AI clear, relevant, and current information to work from. Starting with the right source material can help you get closer to the result you want the first time and reduce the need to regenerate content. Depending on your training, useful sources might include:
- Product briefs, demos, or release notes
- Process and pricing documentation
- Meeting and screen recordings
- Chat conversations and talking points
- Slide decks or brand messaging
- Existing training
Choose Formats With Purpose
Think about what your learners need to do, then use the format that fits.
In Frontline, a kit starts with a set of artifacts selected for you based on your content. You can add more formats as needed. Since generating additional artifacts consumes credits, consider what will be most useful before adding more.
In Articulate 360 AI, creating these training formats individually doesn’t use credits, so you can choose what works best for your training.
Here’s a quick run-down of the different formats:
- Training Deck: Share training with a group live or asynchronously, with speaker notes to help guide the experience. Learn more: Articulate 360 AI | Frontline.
- Guide: Give step-by-step instructions to complete a specific task or follow a new process. Learn more: Articulate 360 AI | Frontline.
- Interactive Video: Turn an existing video into a chaptered experience with a transcript, prompts, and questions. Learn more: Articulate 360 AI | Frontline.
- Scenario: Let learners practice responding to realistic situations and receive instant feedback. Learn more: Articulate 360 AI | Frontline.
- Quick Reference: Give teams new knowledge and the ability to apply key concepts through an interactive, self-paced training experience. Learn more.
Note: Quick Reference is available only in Frontline. Articulate 360 AI creators can create similar short-form content, including short courses and microlearning, without using credits.
Finalize Content Before Using Credits
Review and refine your content before using advanced AI features, such as AI avatar videos or translations. That way, you’re less likely to spend additional credits to make changes later.
Repurpose Training
Extend the value of training you’ve already created by adapting it for new audiences, languages, or uses. Consider:
- New audiences: Meet the needs of other teams or audiences without having to start from scratch.
- New languages: Translate relevant training to reach global teams and audiences.
- New uses: Repurpose training for onboarding, refreshers, or performance support.
Tip: If you’re an admin with creator permissions, you can review your own and your organization’s credit usage from the Credits page in Account Management. You can also export usage data to see which features are consuming credits, helping inform future credit use. Learn more.
